5G/4G LTE Networking
Replace or supplement your broadband connections with a fixed wireless networking solution from Medi-Gear Innovations. Our 5G Unlimited or 4G LTE 20 GB plans can be paired with our managed SD-WAN, Network or Firewall services so you can connect quickly and securely over a cellular network.
Better Reliability. Lower Maintenance. Simple Installation.
With no land line circuit to provision the benefits of 5G/4G LTE include reduced install intervals and lower maintenance cost. The network reliability of 5G/4G LTE networking allows you to quickly scale to one or many locations. The unlimited data and increased speeds (up to 100 Mbps) of 5G can serve as a cost-effective primary access for branch office locations. Both the 5G Unlimited, and the 4G LTE 20 GB plans can also be set up as active/active secondary or active failover options for your business.

The 5G Unlimited plan can serve as a cost effective, Active-Active option and may be provisioned as a standalone connection when purchased with Medi-Gear Innovations Managed SD-WAN, Networks or Firewall services. In the primary configuration, all SD-WAN traffic is transported over the 5G/4G LTE network. Download speeds averaging around 10-20 Mbps on 4G or up to 100 Mbps on 5G (depending on service in your area.)
-
This is an economical 5G/4G LTE connection for sites that also have a connection (either from TPx or another service provider) that’s delivered via our Managed SD-WAN solution. It will act as a fully functional Active-Active connection, sharing throughput with a primary wired circuit. The Medi-Gear Innovations Managed Service Router will choose the 4G circuit whenever it is the best path. This is a great alternative to a second cable circuit for provider redundancy, local access redundancy, and additional bandwidth.
-
Unforeseen disasters can be a threat to business productivity, so organizations need to consider deploying 5G or 4G LTE at branch sites for failover connectivity. Unlike dual-wired connections, which often share the same trench into a building and are subject to errant backhoes, 5G/4G LTE provides true path diversity and ensures non-stop Internet access. The 5G/4G LTE link is dormant until it’s needed for automated failover of the primary circuit, so you won’t be unnecessarily using up your 4G LTE 20 GB mobile data allocation.
5G Unlimited Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, the internet service is only sold in conjunction with other Medi-Gear Innovation manage services including SD-WAN, Networking, or Firewall.
-
Geographic availability of 5G is still limited, variable. The 5G Modem must be located closer to the tower.
Availability of 5G is still geographic limited (but growing) compared to the ubiquity of 4G coverage. Locations must prequalify their address before ordering 5G.The 5G modem placement needs to be more carefully considered vs a 4G modem. Where a 4G modem could usually be place anywhere in the office, the 5G needs to be mounted closer to the perimeter of the building and away from Radio Frequency interference.
-
Yes, and 4G coverage is more widely available than 5G currently. 4G LTE is an excellent option for secondary or failover service at any location.
-
If the cellular wireless service will be set up as the Primary access for a business location, then you will want the 5G unlimited data service.

There are several reasons that 5G will be better than 4G:
5G unlimited data is a more affordable option as a primary or secondary access service when available in your area
5G can be significantly faster than 4G
5G has more capacity than 4G
5G has significantly lower latency than 4G
5G is a unified platform that is more capable than 4G
5G uses spectrum better than 4G
5G is a unified platform that is more capable than 4G.
While 4G LTE focused on delivering much faster mobile broadband services than 3G, 5G is designed to be a unified, more capable platform that not only elevates mobile broadband experiences, but also supports new services such as mission-critical communications and the massive IoT. 5G can also natively support all spectrum types (licensed, shared, unlicensed) and bands (low, mid, high), a wide range of deployment models (from traditional macro-cells to hotspots), and new ways to interconnect (such as device-to-device and multi-hop mesh).5G uses spectrum better than 4G.5G is also designed to get the most out of every bit of spectrum across a wide array of available spectrum regulatory paradigms and bands—from low bands below 1 GHz, to mid bands from 1 GHz to 6 GHz, to high bands known as millimeter wave (mmWave).
5G is faster than 4G.
5G can be significantly faster than 4G, delivering data rates up to 100 Megabits-per-second (Mbps) vs 10 Mbps average data rate on 4G. The LTE tower determines what network to use and can default to 4G when 5G network is unavailable or not required.5G has more capacity than 4G.
5G is designed to support a 100x increase in traffic capacity and network efficiency.5G has lower latency than 4G.
5G has significantly lower latency to deliver more instantaneous, real-time access: a 10x decrease in end-to-end latency down to 1ms.
